I just can’t seem to do this blogging every day or even every week.   But I guess I can keep trying.

I had my last chemo on August 24th – YEAH!!!!!  Had a CT scan on Sept 2nd.  All looks good so I don’t have to go back for 6 months.  I am blesssed.

Charlie and I took a quick trip (3 days) to Myrtle Beach last weekend.  It was good just to get away after the summer we’ve had.  I would still love to take a trip up north but not sure if we’ll make that one or not this year.

I was going to try to do better at this blogging thingy but I’ve been having a rough time lately. I had my first chemo treatment on June 15th and have been nausead all week. I had the second one yesterday and I feel better today. Hopefully I’ll get better now for a couple of weeks until I have to have another. I’ll have a total of 8 treatments with a week off between each 2. I should be done with them by the end of August. Please keep my in your prayers.

Strickly by chance my family doctor did a chest x-ray on me on April 2nd and found a spot on my left lung.  He sent me the next day for a CT scan and then to a surgeon the next week.  After a lot of tests, etc I was admitted to the hospital last Friday, May 1st and had most of my left lung removed.   The doctor is sure he got all the cancer (and YES it was non-small cell carcinoma) and none showed up in my lymph nodes.  I was in the hospital for a week – finally got to come home yesterday.  Now I have to heal and in a month I’ll meet with an oncologist.  I’m hoping I won’t have to have chemo but if I do – I’ll deal with it.   Needless to say – as of April 17th I no longer smoke!  Charlie quit over a year ago so I was the last holdout.

I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since I last posted here.  At the end of February 2007 we moved from Georgia to Lincolnton NC.  We live about 6 miles from our grandchildren now and see them quite a lot.  They love our in ground pool.  <grin>

I will try to update this thing more often and posts some pictures soon.

I’m sorry I haven’t written here in a long time.  So much has been going on in my life.  A lot of changes.

First – Traci and Chris moved out into their own apartment the first of October.  That’s great for both us and them.  Peace here again finally!

Then – we decided to sell our house and move back to North Carolina to be nearer the grandkids.  We listed the house the first of November and got a contract on it yesterday.  So now we have 35 days to get out.  We’ve decided to buy a house that is under construction at the moment and it should be ready by the first or second week of February.  Needless to say I’ll be very busy for a while plus at some point I’ll be without internet access for probably at least a month.

I went to visit my sister on Friday and was suppose to come back home on Monday.  I actually came home on Sunday because my sister must have the hardest bed that was ever made.  It was killing me!  It sure does feel good to sleep on my bed again.

The heat wave continues.  Heat indexes up to 110 every day.  It’s too miserable to do anything outside.  I really feel sorry for people who have to work out in this kind of heat.

Fluffy got a bath and groom today.  She looks so pretty.  My baby.  LOL

are better than others.  At least now Traci and Chris are both working.  Chris actually works more hours than Traci and makes more money.  Now if they could only manage to save some it would be nice.

Our new heat pump should arrive some time this week.  Thank goodness.  At least once a day the AC stops putting out cold air and we have to cut it off completely for at least an hour (sometimes longer) and then hope it works when we cut it back on.  On top of that yesterday evening we had a bad storm and the power was off for 4 hours.  And of course all this happens when we’re having record heat spells.

This coming weeking I’m going to visit my sister, by myself!  I need a break from everyone before I worry myself to death or smoke myself to death!  I can’t wait to go.

The five and a half months of peace and quiet that Charlie and I had were nice.  Will we ever have them again?  I don’t know.  Traci and Chris are driving us nuts.  Especially Traci and her mouth.  She has absolutely no respect for me.  I love her so much and she can hurt me so much.  I just want her to be happy.  She makes it hard on herself and everyone around her.  If Traci is miserable, everyone is miserable.

On the plus side both of them have new jobs.  Traci starts tomorrow at Margaritas Mexican Bar and Grille as a full time waitress and part time bartender.  Chris started today working part time with a local guy who does electric, plumbing and various construction here on the east side of the lake.

Our air conditioner is not working right.  That isn’t good when you’re in Georgia in the middle of summer.  The temperatures are in the mid to high 90s every day.  We may have to buy a new one. If we do we’ll get a heat pump, take out the heater part of the furnace that is in the house and put a linen closet there.

Hopefully things will be better around here soon.  Peace and quiet again would be great.

Well, we’re back to HOT weather.  It was suppose to hit 100 today and if it didn’t it got close.  I was outside part of the day helping Charlie do some stump grinding.

Charlie’s desk and the end table are done – just have to find the time to move them from the shop to the computer room.

For some reason one of my external hard drives isn’t working right.  When I click on it I get a ‘do you want to format this drive’ message.  No I don’t!!!  I want to access my stuff that is on that drive!  I unplugged it and will try tomorrow adding it back and see if it’s okay.  I hope it isn’t fried!!
