The five and a half months of peace and quiet that Charlie and I had were nice. Will we ever have them again? I don’t know. Traci and Chris are driving us nuts. Especially Traci and her mouth. She has absolutely no respect for me. I love her so much and she can hurt me so much. I just want her to be happy. She makes it hard on herself and everyone around her. If Traci is miserable, everyone is miserable.
On the plus side both of them have new jobs. Traci starts tomorrow at Margaritas Mexican Bar and Grille as a full time waitress and part time bartender. Chris started today working part time with a local guy who does electric, plumbing and various construction here on the east side of the lake.
Our air conditioner is not working right. That isn’t good when you’re in Georgia in the middle of summer. The temperatures are in the mid to high 90s every day. We may have to buy a new one. If we do we’ll get a heat pump, take out the heater part of the furnace that is in the house and put a linen closet there.
Hopefully things will be better around here soon. Peace and quiet again would be great.
Stormy Weather Monday June 26, 2006

We finally got some rain! We’ve had a couple of days of very stormy weather. Lots of thunder and lightening and heavy rain. At least it’s a little cooler now but very humid.
We’re almost done with the desk. A couple more coats of polyurethane and we can move it into the room.
We now have a hole in the wall of the hall bathroom. It looks like someone slammed the door open and the door handle knocked a hole there. Punched out even the door stop. Don’t know whether Traci or Chris did it and don’t care! Just very upset with them. This is the bathroom we just completely redid back in April. I told Charlie they can pay him to fix the hole. Where is respect for someone else’s house?
Missing? Friday June 23, 2006

Did y'all think I'd gone missing? Sorry I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks. Traci and Chris arrived 2 weeks ago. I have no idea how long they will be with us. Since they have no other place to go it could be a while. They're both working now and are suppose to be saving their money to eventually get an apartment somewhere. As Charlie said "well we had peace and quiet for a while".
It is so freaking HOT here in Georgia. It's been in the high 90s for about a month and the past couple of days it hit 101 with heat indexes of 110 – 115. On top of that we haven't had any rain in so long. We're lucky that the sprinkler system is hooked into the lake so we can water the yard and the garden.
The Canadian geese have gone. I don't know where – maybe back to Canada where it's got to be cooler. LOL
Charlie has now finished making my new computer desk and the entertainment center between our desks and now he's making his desk. When it's all done I'll post a picture here.
Here yesterday gone today Wednesday May 24, 2006

As most of you know (if you read my last post) Traci arrived here in Georgia Monday evening. Yesterday I was working in the yard and stuff and just gave her some space. I know she was on the phone and the computer a lot. Come to find out she was lobbying for a place to stay in NJ. She found a friend who has an apartment who is going to let her stay there for a while so this afternoon she left to go back to NJ. I felt like asking her if she was nuts but she's almost 21 and doesn't listen to me anyway. I just told her she was NOT going to be like a yo yo going up and down the road between here and there. I just want her to get another job (since she quit Petco when she left the other day) and be able to stay there if that's what she wants. My baby isn't a baby anymore.

Traci arrived around 5 pm. She said she stopped and slept 3 times for a couple of hours each time. Which means she drove entirely too fast. I'm just so glad she made it safely. She's never driven that far by herself. We just had dinner and she's resting on her bed and watching tv now.

Traci and her girlfriend had problems so she had to move out of the girlfriend’s house and she has no where else to live up in NJ and no money so she’s coming to Georgia. She hopes to only be here about a month until 2 of her other friends can get an apartment then she plans on going back up and living with them. There goes the peace and quiet around here. <grin> Hopefully she’ll be able to get a job and will be gone some of time anyway. She left around midnight last night driving down by herself (which worries me a lot). She called at 6 am and woke me up and told me she had stopped and slept a little and was getting back on the road again but if she got tired she’d stop and sleep some more.

This is my beautiful daughter, Traci, when she was down visiting us for spring break in March. She's riding MY 4-wheeler. She loves it! So do I – lol.
